Co-Founder | Portfolio Manager
Nili Gilbert is a Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager with primary responsibility for model development, portfolio construction and management of the firm’s suite of equity products and for its macroeconomic outlook.
Prior to founding Matarin, Nili was a Senior Director and Senior Research Analyst in the Quantitative Strategies Group at Invesco, where she was responsible for the development of the firm’s global multi-asset models. Additional experience includes work at the Synergos Institute, an organization aimed at reducing poverty globally.
Both a CFA and CAIA Charterholder, Nili received her AB from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude in a Special Concentration in Economics and Social Studies, and her MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia University, where she was a Toigo Fellow.
Nili has been honored as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, as Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Association of Securities Professionals, by LinkedIn as 1 of 10 TopVoices 2019 in Finance and Economics, by Bloomberg BusinessWeek as one of 20 people who are “Ones to Watch” for 2019, by 100 Women in Hedge Funds as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Scholar, and with the Toigo Bridge to Business award. She chairs the Investment Committees of the Board of Directors of both the David Rockefeller Fund and the Synergos Institute. Nili is also a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Economic Club of New York.
