Valerie Malter, CFA

Co-Founder | Managing Principal

Valerie Malter is a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Matarin with primary responsibility at Matarin for oversight of the firm’s business operations, including compliance, finance, legal and IT.

Valerie has 33 years of asset management experience, including a variety of senior roles at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Scudder, Kemper Investments and Chancellor Capital Management, a firm acquired by Invesco. Valerie also created the first Program for Social Impact at The Wharton School.

Valerie received her MBA from the Darden School of Business and earned a BSBA from Boston University, graduating magna cum laude in Finance. A CFA Charterholder, Valerie is the co-author of McGraw Hill published How to be a Growth Investor with Matarin Co-Founder Stuart Kaye.
